What Is The "Super Speeder Law"?

In Georgia, a super speeder is anyone who is convicted of driving 75 mph or more on a two-lane road or 85 mph or more on any road or highway in the state. As part of the law, you will be assessed a $200 super speeder state fee on top of the original speeding ticket. Failure to pay the ticket within 120 days results in the suspension of your license, which will incur additional fines to reinstate. The "Super Speeder Law" affects even out-of-state drivers.

While being a super speeder does not add additional points on your license, it can cause you additional difficulty and hardships. In some cases, when it's paired with a reckless driving charge, you may be facing substantial financial penalties, in addition to the four points on your driving record for reckless driving.
